Man in His 70s Dies After Brutal Co Sligo Burglary
Tragedy has struck in Co Sligo as Tom Niland, a man in his 70s, has died following a savage aggravated burglary at his home last year.
Severe Injuries From Home Invasion
Mr Niland, living alone in Skreen, suffered serious head and upper body injuries during the violent attack on January 18, 2022. He had been in critical condition at Sligo University Hospital since the incident.
Family Pleads for Privacy As Legal Battle Continues
Gardaí confirmed Mr Niland’s death earlier today. His grieving family has now asked for privacy to mourn their loss.
Meanwhile, three men arrested in connection with the burglary face ongoing court proceedings.
