Ashford Tragedy: Kieran Mistry, 23, has appeared in court accused of causing the death of his friend in a fatal crash three years ago.

Deadly Crash on Kingsnorth Road

Mistry was driving a black VW Golf on the A2042 Bad Munstereifel Road in Kingsnorth when he slammed into a roundabout at the junction with Avenue Jacques Faucheux just after midnight on July 30, 2023. The smash happened near the Flanders Field roundabout.

Twenty-year-old passenger Mateusz Piotr Tabaka died instantly at the scene. Another passenger, Jack Rouse, suffered serious injuries. Mistry and a fourth man were also hospitalised. All four men hail from Ashford.

Mistry Faces Serious Charges

The Swallowfield, Willesborough local now faces two heavy charges: causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving to Jack Rouse (also known as Jack Baxter).

At Folkestone Magistrates’ Court, Mistry refused to enter a plea on the death charge, which is indictable. Both counts were sent to Canterbury Crown Court for trial. His solicitor, Rajvinder Dayal, confirmed Mistry will plead not guilty.

Mistry was granted bail ahead of his next hearing on March 2 at Canterbury Crown Court.
