Man, 20, Held Over Carnival Killing
Shakiel Thibou, just 20 years old, has appeared at the Old Bailey accused of murdering Cher Maximen. The mum-of-two was fatally stabbed during this year’s Notting Hill Carnival. Originally charged with attempted murder, Thibou now faces full murder charges after Ms Maximen tragically died on August 31 from what the court called “unsurvivable injuries.”
