Man Found Dead in Salford as Police Make Three Murder Arrests
Just after 2.30am on Thursday, December 7, police were called to a property on Great Cheetham Street, Salford. After searching the nearby area, officers discovered the body of a man.
Body Found Near Local Sports Club
The victim’s body was found on land between Great Cheetham Street West and the Salford & Broughton Cricket & Football Club. So far, police have not been able to formally identify the man.
Three Men Arrested and Released on Bail
Two men were arrested at the scene, with a third man taken into custody later — all on suspicion of murder. All three have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
Investigation Underway, Police Appeal for Information
Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Smith from GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “Firstly, I would like to reassure the public that we are working hard to ascertain the full details that led to a man being found deceased. This is undoubtedly a very distressing time for the residents in the Salford area.
Everything is being done to make a formal identification of the man, so we can inform their family and they can be laid to rest.
