Eastbourne Predator Locked Up for Over a Decade
A vile online predator from Eastbourne has been slammed with a lengthy prison sentence. Joao-Carlos Jardim Dos Santos Teixeira, 26, was handed 11 years and 4 months behind bars after the National Crime Agency (NCA) cracked down on his sick child abuse chat groups.
Monster Shared Shocking AI-Generated Abuse Images
Teixeira ran three secret chat groups across messaging platforms, where he shared disgusting child sexual abuse material. This included ultra-realistic AI-generated images, classified as Category A — the most serious and depraved level of indecency. In a swoop at his Eastbourne home in February 2024, NCA officers seized devices containing nearly 20,000 indecent and prohibited images. Over 1,000 of these were Category A. Even more chilling — Teixeira encouraged another offender to sexually abuse a 13-year-old boy.
Reoffended on Bail and Got Busted Twice
After his initial arrest, the predator was bailed but didn’t stop offending online. He got caught again in November 2025. At Lewes Crown Court in December 2025, Teixeira pleaded guilty. His final sentence was handed down at the same court in early 2026.
