Sex Offender Sean Phipps Skips Bail – Police Issue Urgent Alert

Convicted Kidnapper and Rapist on the Run

Sean Phipps, 51, once known by the surnames Cawthray, Goldthorpe, and Perry, is a convicted kidnapper and rapist. He was jailed in 2002 for those crimes. Now, he has gone missing after being temporarily released from prison.

Last Seen in Bristol – What He Was Wearing

Phipps was spotted in Bristol city centre on Wednesday. He did not return to HMP 1 as required, raising alarm bells with police. Standing around 6ft 2ins tall, the white man was wearing a black coat over a blue top, blue jeans, and Timberland boots. He also had a black Casio watch, blue glasses, and carried a vape pen.

Police Hunt Underway – Could Be Outside Local Area

“We believe Phipps may have left the area,” said Detective Inspector Dan Rowan. He has known connections in both Leeds and the local area.

Police urge anyone who spots Phipps to call 999 immediately and quote reference number 5222130002. If you know where he might be, ring 101 with the same reference number.
