A 21-year-old drug dealer has been slammed with jail time after eagle-eyed locals reported his shady dealings in South Woodham Ferrers. The recent court hearing revealed how community alertness brought him down.
Vison Tahiaraj Gets 2 Years for Peddling Cocaine
Vison Tahiaraj, from Tillotson Road, Edmonton, was handed a 2 years and 1 month prison sentence at Chelmsford Crown Court on 3 February. He pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply. A second charge was dropped. On top of that, Tahiaraj was convicted of driving while disqualified and failing to show up for a previous court hearing.
Police Thank Public for Crucial Tip-Offs
Sergeant Matt Dalby from the Maldon Neighbourhood Policing Team praised local residents for speaking up. “Officers rely on information from the public to assist their investigations,” he said. Without those tip-offs, Tahiaraj could still be out causing trouble.
