From Sweets to Stabbing Threats: Crime Escalates Fast
Ali kicked off his spree sneaking into a staff-only area to nick a bottle of Malibu rum, sweets, and crisps. But day two saw him go full throttle:
- Waved a kitchen knife
- Jumped over the counter
- Snatched the till tray stuffed with cash

On day three, after a heated row with a cashier, Ali struck again. He slipped behind the till, stole more money, then bizarrely pretended to be a staff member. He served customers, stole their cash, and even pinched a mobile phone.
Quick Police Action Snaps Up Armed Robber
Police raced to the scene and quickly fingered Ali. He was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery, burglary, knife possession, and assault after pushing an officer during the arrest.
“Ali pleaded guilty at Northampton Crown Court,” said a spokesperson. “He has now been sentenced to five years and three months in prison.”
The October 3 sentencing slammed the door shut on Ali’s brazen crime spree.
