Teen Girl Hurt in Shocking Southeast London Hit-and-Run
A 15-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car on Lower Road in southeast London. The crash happened at 9:24 a.m. on April 18, sparking a rapid emergency response.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Police were quick on the scene after reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Officers found the teen suffering a head injury and in urgent need of medical aid. The London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a fast response car medic, and an incident response officer to provide immediate care.
The girl received on-site treatment before being flown to a major trauma centre for specialist care.

Police have launched an investigation into the crash. While they confirm no arrests have been made so far, enquiries continue. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “Police were called to Lower Road at 9:24 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car. They added, “At this early stage, there is no condition update. There have been no arrests, enquiries are ongoing.”
London Ambulance Service Confirms Response
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service confirmed the incident: “We were called at 9:19 a.m. on April 18 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Lower Road. We treated a teenager at the scene for a head injury before taking them to a major trauma centre.”
