Two Men Arrested After Brutal Deptford Stabbing Kills 21-Year-Old
Two men have been arrested following the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Robert Robinson in Deptford on Thursday night.
Police Called After Midnight Attack
Officers rushed to Carteret Way at 10:35 pm on June 6 after reports of a stabbing. Despite frantic efforts by emergency services, Robert was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem confirmed he died from multiple incised wounds.
Suspects Held as Police Hunt for Answers
- A 50-year-old man was arrested but has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
- A 44-year-old remains in custody.
Detective Inspector Neil Tovey called the attack a “horrific crime by people armed with weapons who blight our communities.” He added, “A young man has died in brutal circumstances and his family are grieving.”
Community Urged to Help Crack Case
DI Tovey stressed the vital role of local residents in bringing justice. “The attack happened on a residential street at a time when many were likely at home. We believe the community holds the key. Any information, no matter how small, could help us.”
Police have launched an online portal where witnesses can upload videos or images anonymously.
