Two Prison Staff Charged Over Brutal HMP Whitemoor Attack
Two men from HMP Whitemoor have been arrested and charged following a shocking attack on a prison officer on 9 January.
Ziamani and Hockton Face Serious Charges
Brusthom Ziamani, 24, and Baz Macaulay Hockton, 26, both prison officers, were charged on Tuesday, 3 March, with attempted murder.
Ziamani faces additional charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and common assault against two other officers.
Next Steps in Court
Both men are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 1 and 4 March. The case shines a light on rising tensions behind bars at Britain’s toughest jails.
