London Man Lands 7½ Years for Running Ruthless Surrey Drug Line
A 36-year-old Ealing man is locked up for seven and a half years after pleading guilty to dealing heroin and crack, plus grievous bodily harm with intent. Tirenan Powell ran a ruthless county line drug operation targeting north Surrey, the court heard at Guildford Crown Court on Tuesday, 13 October.
Cat-And-Mouse Chase Ends in Arrest
Powell was caught after a police patrol spotted him in Hounslow on 30 June. Wanted for a serious assault on a vulnerable victim in Stanwell, he tried to flee on foot but was quickly detained. Officers found several mobile phones, a miniature phone, and a house key hidden in his underwear.
The key led to a property packed with more phones and drug gear, revealing the scale of his drug empire.
Police Praise Team Effort in Taking Down ‘Line Holder’
PC Katherine Stevens, from the proactive priority crime team, said: “As the line holder, Powell controlled the mobile phone line used to push drugs. He usually hides behind a network of people he manipulates to do the dirty work. But he wasn’t able to hide from us.”
“Seeing this violent offender jailed is a fantastic result and guarantees his vulnerable victims won’t face further harm.”
