Police in an unmarked car spotted a Nissan Qashqai tearing down the M20 at speed towards junction 3 at around 8.30pm on Sunday, 27 February 2022. The driver was acting recklessly, swerving wildly before suddenly exiting the A20 at Crittles Corner, ignoring a red traffic light on the roundabout.

The Qashqai then sped back onto the A20, heading coastbound and hitting 100mph before merging onto the M20 at junction 2. The driver continued his dangerous spree, refusing to stop when police signalled. Officers were forced to bring the vehicle to a halt and detained the driver.
Essex Man Arrested Over Drug-Fuelled Danger
The man, in his forties from Essex, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving under the influence of drugs, and possession of cocaine. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
