Teen Held at Knifepoint in Shocking Wallasey Robbery
Wallasey police are hunting two teens after a 15-year-old boy was threatened at knifepoint in a frightening robbery last Friday night.
Masked Muggers Strike Near Claremont Church
At around 6:10pm on July 7, the victim was waiting for a friend near Claremont Methodist Church when two masked youths approached him. One wore a black coat, the other a grey coat and black trousers. Both concealed their faces with black balaclavas.
The youth in the grey coat pulled out a serrated, wooden-handled knife — roughly 10 inches long with a small hole near the base.
Perpetrators Make Off on Stolen Electric Bike
Terrified, the boy managed to get away unharmed. The pair then sped off on a stolen navy blue Eleglide electric bike, leaving the victim shaken but physically safe.
Police Plead for Public Help to Catch Thieves
“This appalling incident left the boy incredibly frightened,” said Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan. “We’re doing all we can to identify those responsible, but your help could be vital.”
Police want anyone who was near the church that evening and saw youths matching the suspects’ description, or suspicious behaviour, to speak up immediately.
They’re especially eager to track down the stolen navy blue Eleglide bike. DI Kerrigan appealed to parents who recognise the knife or suspects involved, urging them: “Do the right thing and come forward.”
Officers are also requesting any CCTV, dashcam footage, or eyewitness accounts that could help with the investigation.
