Drive-By Shooting Shakes Hackney Streets
Terror gripped Hackney as armed police, paramedics, and the London Air Ambulance swarmed after a family was caught in a brutal drive-by shooting. Multiple shots rang out near Kingsland High Street, leaving locals stunned and the usually quiet neighbourhood in chaos.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
The attack happened just after 9:20pm on Wednesday, May 29. Specialist firearms officers quickly arrived alongside paramedics and air ambulance crews. They found three adults and a child severely wounded by gunfire, their lives hanging by a thread.
The victims were rushed to a hospital in east London. The child remains in a critical condition, while the others’ statuses are still unclear as medics continue lifesaving treatment.
Police Launch Urgent Investigation
The Met’s Trident Gun Crime Unit took charge of the case but no arrests have been made yet. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Matt Ward said: “We know Londoners will be shocked by what has taken place tonight. Our thoughts go to all those affected. Fast-moving enquiries are underway, and we will update as soon as we can.”
