Handcuffed Dangerous Offender Who Fled Mental Health Unit Caught by Police

Police have finally tracked down Aaron Moore, 31, the dangerous offender who shockingly escaped while handcuffed from a Mental Health Unit in Enfield.

On The Run for Two Weeks

Moore disappeared on Thursday, 21 June at around 4pm from outside North Middlesex Hospital. Despite being handcuffed and under the watch of three staff members, he managed to flee the Priory London Clinic’s custody. His disappearance sparked a city-wide search lasting two tense weeks.

Captured Without a Fuss

The manhunt ended swiftly on Friday, 5 July, when officers found Moore at an address in Enfield around 4pm. He was arrested on the spot for escaping lawful custody.

Police Praise Public Help

Detective Inspector Paul Ridley, leading the investigation, said: “Moore was detained this afternoon without incident. I would like to thank the public for all their information and assistance throughout the course of this enquiry.”

The arrest brings relief after a fortnight of anxiety over the escape of a dangerous individual still in handcuffs.
