Cops Smash Major Car Chop Shop in Erith Raid!
Stolen Rolls Royce Phantom Recovered
In a dawn bust, officers from the SE Violence Suppression Unit and Sidcup Safer Neighbourhood Team swooped on a suspected chop shop in Erith. Inside, they found a stolen Rolls Royce Phantom, nicked just the day before. They also uncovered the remains of a Range Rover and assorted parts from high-value vehicles linked to organised crime.
Organised Gangs Target Luxury Cars
The premises were tied to organised criminal gangs specialising in stealing top-end motors to strip for parts. These parts are then distributed, making it harder for police to track the stolen vehicles.
Criminals Tried to Outsmart Police – But Failed
The crooks used radio and signal jammers to mask their illegal activity and stored vehicles in a warehouse. But officers acted fast, securing a warrant out of hours and hitting the site before the gang had a chance to cover their tracks.
Investigations are ongoing as police hunt down those behind this high-value motor theft racket.
