Detectives in Rotherham want the public’s help to track down a man linked to the alleged rape of a teenage girl. The shocking incident happened on Thursday, July 6, around 9pm. The victim was walking with friends through Eastwood Playing Fields, near Eldon Road and Hardwicke Road, when the attack is said to have occurred.

Officers are especially keen to identify a young man who may hold vital information. He is described as white, about 18 to 20 years old, around 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build and short brown hair in a classic “back and sides” style. Witnesses say he was wearing a plain grey hoodie, blue jogging bottoms with stripes, and white trainers.
