Woman in her 20s dies after Peugeot overturns on A3 near Esher
Surrey Police are hunting witnesses following a fatal crash on the A3 in the early hours of Wednesday, March 22.
Crash Details
At around 1:20am, a silver Peugeot heading northbound smashed into the central reservation and flipped over near Esher Common.
Tragic Victim and Arrest
The female passenger, a woman in her 20s, was rushed to St George’s Hospital but sadly died from her injuries.
The male driver, also in his 20s, escaped with minor injuries and was treated at St Peter’s Hospital. He has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
Road Closures and Witness Appeal
The A3 northbound was shut while emergency services dealt with the scene, reopening at 7:15am.
