Chaos erupted on Langlands Road at 3.15pm when a car smashed into parked vehicles, railings, and a pedestrian before bursting into flames.
Pedestrian in Hospital After Horror Crash
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Thankfully, he is now in stable condition.
Driver and Passengers Flee the Scene
The occupants of the car fled immediately after the crash. Police are hunting for them as enquiries continue.
Attempted Murder Investigation Underway
Detectives are treating the incident as attempted murder and have urged witnesses to speak up.
Detective Constable Mark Garner from Greater 1 CID said: “It’s vital we find out exactly what happened. I urge anyone who was in the area around 3pm on Saturday and saw the incident to come forward. If you have any dash cam footage from Langlands Road, please contact us.”
