Horror Crash on M6: Woman in Critical Condition, Teen Seriously Injured
Massive Emergency Response to Collision Near Coventry
At 8.20 a.m., chaos erupted on the M6 Southbound just before Junction 2 in Coventry. Two cars collided, prompting a rapid response from emergency services. The West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched four ambulances, plus the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford. Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Rutland Air Ambulances also rushed to the scene.
Woman Pulled from Wreckage, Rushed to Hospital
First responders found four people involved. The driver of the first car, a woman, was in critical condition. Firefighters had to carefully remove her from the wreck. Paramedics provided advanced trauma care on-site before rushing her to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire, with a doctor on board to monitor her.
Teen Passenger Seriously Hurt, Others Unscathed
The woman’s passenger, a teenager, suffered serious injuries. Ambulance crews treated the youngster on scene before sending them by land ambulance to Coventry hospital.
Of the two other individuals involved, one was checked over but did not need treatment, while the other refused assessment. Both were treated and released at the scene.
