Man Charged After Knife Found at Andover Pub

A quick-thinking pub security team stopped an 18-year-old man carrying a knife in his waistband at a busy Andover pub.

Knife Snagged at John Russell Fox

Hamza Hashi, 18, from East London, was caught red-handed with a knife tucked in his back pocket as he walked into the John Russell Fox on Friday night.

Security staff acted fast to restrain him before police arrived at 10.50pm.

Charged with Knife and Drug Offences

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed Hashi was charged with possession of a knife in a public place and possession of a Class B drug.

“We were called to the pub at 10.50pm on Friday where it is alleged a man entered the premises with a knife in his back pocket,” a spokesman said.
