Russian Rocket Hits Lviv Apartment Block: At Least 3 Dead
A deadly Russian rocket strike has ripped through an apartment building in western Ukraine’s city of Lviv. The blast killed at least three people and injured eight, with one victim in serious condition, local mayor Andriy Sadovyi confirmed. Rescue teams are still racing against time to find more survivors trapped under the rubble.
Critical Infrastructure Targeted Amid Chaos
Regional chief Maksym Kozytskyi said a “critical infrastructure facility” in the city was the target, but offered no further details. The Russian military has remained silent on the attack.
Massive Damage to Property and Vehicles
Footage released by Mayor Sadovyi showed smashed windows across the four-storey building and vehicles wrecked amid scattered debris. He estimated over 50 apartments sustained damage, and roughly 50 cars were destroyed in the explosion.
Ukrainian Resolve: “We Will Win”
“Russia’s main goal is the destruction of the Ukrainian people, but we will win,” Kozytskyi declared, highlighting the nation’s defiant spirit amid relentless attacks.
Rescue crews continue to dig through the rubble after recently pulling two survivors to safety. The search goes on, with hopes to find anyone else caught beneath the wreckage.
