Missing dog walker found alive in Carneddau after tense search

Ausra Plungiene Found Near Yr Aryg

Ausra Plungiene, 56, from Prestatyn, was reported missing last Tuesday evening after failing to return from a walk with her dog in the Carneddau mountains. Mountain Rescue Teams located her safely near Yr Aryg the following Thursday afternoon (13th April).

Family Thank Rescuers and Supporters

Ausra’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved: “All of our family would like to thank everyone for their support, love and good wishes over these horrific days. Friends, family, work colleagues and complete strangers have all been incredible. We can only say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

They praised the police and rescue teams for their tireless work: “We cannot express enough thanks to everyone who gave up their time to search for our beloved Ausra.
