Ambulance Crew Hurt in High-Speed Crash Responding to 999 Call

Three North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) crew members were injured when their ambulance swerved off the road in Crewe, Cheshire. The smash happened at around 8:30pm on Friday, 28 November, on Eardswick Lane.

Onboard were two paramedics and an emergency medical technician. NWAS confirmed two sustained serious injuries. All three were rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene—No Patient Onboard

An NWAS spokesperson said, “Our immediate priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues, and we are in close contact with their families.” The Air Ambulance, Police, and Fire Service all responded swiftly. Thankfully, no patient was on board during the crash.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Detective Sergeant Iain Condliffe of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “We’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has video footage to help our investigation.”
