Three Dead and Two Children Critical After Horror Crash in Garthorpe

A chilling crash near the quiet village of Garthorpe has left three dead and two children fighting for their lives.

At just after 5:45pm on Saturday, a white Audi TT hurtled south along Shore Road before smashing violently into a tree. The driver, aged 44, a 48-year-old front-seat passenger, and a 13-year-old girl in the back seat were killed instantly at the scene.

Two Children in Critical Condition After Crash

A 9-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Authorities say the teenage girl remains in critical, life-threatening condition.

Humberside Police are urgently investigating why the car left the road. They are appealing for witnesses and urged anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward, referencing incident log 422 from March 28.

The families of the victims have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers as the investigation continues.

In an unrelated emergency, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance responded to a serious horse riding injury elsewhere in Yorkshire. Helicopters were spotted en route to hospitals in Sheffield and Middlesbrough following the distress call.
