19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Critical After Solo Crash Near Devizes

A 19-year-old biker has been left fighting for his life after a nasty solo crash on the A342 Dunkirk Hill near Devizes. The crash happened around midday on 20 May, sending shockwaves through the quiet area.

Biker Crashes Going Downhill Towards Rowde

The young man was riding down Dunkirk Hill towards Rowde when he came off his bike. No other vehicles were involved, making the cause of the crash a mystery.

Victim Rushed to Hospital, Road Shut for Hours

The motorcyclist was first taken to Great Western Hospital but has since been moved to Southmead Hospital in bristol/" title="Bristol" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bristol, where his condition is critical. The A342 was closed until about 2:30pm while police investigated the scene.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Det Con Rachel Catling of Wiltshire’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorcycle shortly beforehand. We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage that could help our enquiries.”
