Man Threatens Teen Girl in Chorley Woods – Police Hunt Suspect
A 15-year-old girl was targeted by a man in a wooded area near Stonyhurst, Chorley, on the morning of September 17th. Between 8.45am and 9.15am, the male approached her and led her behind some trees.
He threatened the teenager and ordered her to remove clothing before fleeing the scene.
Two Arrested But Released – Police Still Searching
Police swiftly arrested two men in their 40s from Chorley on suspicion of kidnap. However, both were released with no further action as inquiries continue.
Detectives Urge Public to Help Identify Suspect
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, with short hair. He wore a black hat, dark blue jacket, black trousers, and black shoes.
“We understand this incident has caused concern in the community,” said Det Sgt Paul Price of South CID. “We are doing everything we can to identify the individual responsible. While we have made two arrests, those individuals are no longer suspects.”
He added, “Anyone who recognises the man from the EvoFit image should contact us immediately. Please check CCTV and dashcam footage around Yarrow Valley and Coppull, especially near the Spar store, on the morning of September 17 between 9am and 11.30am.”
