The Cowes lifeboat launched at 3:26 pm and quickly reached the scene. Using a boat hook and carefully manoeuvring alongside the yacht, the crew managed to free the anchor chain from its tricky trap.
Safe and Sound, Yacht Sets Sail Again
With the chain secured and the anchor stowed safely, the relieved couple resumed their journey to Bembridge. The lifeboat returned to station promptly, arriving back at 4 pm.
