Bronze Figurine Stolen in Brazen Tunbridge Wells Gallery Heist

A distinctive bronze figurine has been snatched from an art gallery in Tunbridge Wells, sparking a police manhunt.

How The Theft Went Down

The 39cm tall sculpture was taken from a display along the town’s bustling High Street on 25 July 2020. Three men struck shortly after 3pm, with one suspect – a towering 6ft 4in man in his 40s of mixed race – engaging a staff member in conversation to distract them. Meanwhile, the other two men, believed to be white, slipped out of sight.

Only one figurine from a pair was stolen, discovered missing after the trio fled.

Police Appeal: Don’t Let Thieves Profit

It’s thought the culprits plan to try and sell the stolen artwork. Police are urging locals, collectors, and dealers to keep an eye out for the missing item.

“We ask anyone with information to call kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/130975/20,” officers said.
