Tragic Lorry Crash Shuts A14 Eastbound
Chaos hit the A14 this morning after two lorries collided on the eastbound carriageway just before 9.45am Tuesday 25 August.
One Dead at Scene, Other Driver Hurt but Stable
Emergency services raced to the scene, including ambulance, fire crews, and a critical care team from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS). Tragically, the driver of one lorry, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for checks and thankfully suffered no serious injuries.
Road Closure and Investigation Underway
The eastbound carriageway is shut between junctions 43 and 45. Authorities expect the closure to last into the evening while they investigate and recover the vehicles.
