Man Rescued After Getting Stuck Waist-Deep in Mud at Portchester
Emergency crews rushed to Portchester on Saturday when a man found himself trapped waist-deep in mud near Port Solent harbour.
Rapid Response from Coastguard and Mud Rescue Teams
Just before 2pm, coastguard search and rescue squads from Hillhead and Portsmouth were scrambled to the scene. Two expert mud rescue technicians quickly freed the man from the muddy trap.
Medical Aid and Safety Support on Hand
After the daring rescue, the casualty received immediate medical attention from the mud rescue team before being handed over to South Central Ambulance service. Meanwhile, Portsmouth RNLI Atlantic 85 provided vital safety support throughout the operation.
