Fatal Crash on M3 Southbound

A 52-year-old cyclist from Aldershot was tragically killed in a collision on the M3 last night. The crash happened around 10.40pm between junction 4a and Fleet Services on the southbound carriageway. Emergency crews were called after reports of a collision involving a car and the cyclist.

Police Hunt Witnesses to Deadly Crash

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the cyclist beforehand to come forward. Police Sergeant Martin Mundy said: “We know several vehicles were travelling that stretch of motorway at the time. We want to speak to those drivers as they may hold vital information for our investigation.”

The driver of the car involved is cooperating with Hampshire Police. However, witnesses are crucial to piece together how the tragedy unfolded.
