Tragic Crash on A390 Near West Taphouse Claims Life
Just before midnight on Saturday, July 23, disaster struck on the A390 near West Taphouse.
A silver Ford Fiesta, heading towards East Taphouse, collided head-on with a red Peugeot 107 travelling towards Lostwithiel.
One Dead, Two Seriously Injured in Horror Smash
The male driver of the Ford Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene despite desperate attempts to save him by passers-by and emergency crews.
A female passenger from the same car was rushed to Derriford Hospital in critical condition.
The female driver of the Peugeot was also taken to Derriford Hospital, where she is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Devon & Cornwall Roads Policing Team are leading a full investigation into the collision.
Officers are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the vehicles before the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
