Got a Driver and Vehicles account? Now you can create a unique QR code to share your driving licence details instantly with car hire firms, insurance companies, and other approved organisations. No more printing or fiddly typing required.
“This is the latest step in our ongoing efforts to modernise our services and make life easier for drivers. The QR code system ensures driving licence information can be shared quickly, securely, and with minimal hassle,” a DVLA spokesperson said.
Part of a Bigger Digital Overhaul
The QR code feature is part of the DVLA’s broader digital push. Account holders already enjoy perks like vehicle tax reminders sent straight to their email or phone, cutting out the lagging snail mail.
