Shock Horror in Yardley: One Dead, Two Hurt in Early Morning Crash
A fatal smash in Yardley, Birmingham, has left one man dead and two others injured. The crash happened at the junction of Kings Road and Coventry Road just after 6 AM.
Emergency Services Race to Scene
The West Midlands Ambulance Service scrambled three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, critical care paramedic, and an Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene.
Paramedics found a car had careened off the road, smashing into a tree. Three people were inside.
“The first, a man, was in critical condition and ambulance staff immediately began advanced life support,” said a West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman. “Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Serious Injuries for Two Others
- A second man suffered potentially serious injuries and was rushed to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital Major Trauma Centre. His condition remains undisclosed.
- The third victim, a teenage boy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Heartlands Hospital for assessment.
Ongoing Investigation and Road Closures
Authorities have yet to release the identities of those involved while investigations continue. The crash site caused road closures and minor delays during the morning rush.
