Teen girl fighting for life after horror A35 Dorchester bike crash
Police are hunting witnesses after a nasty crash on the A35 at Dorchester left a teenage girl with life-threatening injuries. The smash happened at around 1.10pm on Saturday 7 May 2016, when several motorcycles collided on the westbound carriageway between Yellowham Hill and Puddletown.
Four injured in devastating Dorchester collision
All four hurt riders are from Southampton. Two air ambulances and a police helicopter rushed to the scene. A 16-year-old girl was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening wounds. Also flown in was a 23-year-old man in serious but stable condition.
Two other men, aged 21 and 28, were taken to Dorset County Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Road closed as cops probe crash scene
Both lanes of the A35 remain shut while collision investigators piece together what went wrong.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw how the motorcycles were being ridden before the crash, to call me on 101,” said Police Sergeant Joe Pardey of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit.
“Thanks to all motorists for your patience during the road closure. It’s vital for us to get to the bottom of this.”
