Crack Cocaine Stash Busted in Grimsby

Richard Turner, 47, from Woodyard Court, Grimsby, has been jailed for seven years after cops found a massive stash of crack cocaine worth nearly £13,000. The sentencing took place at Hull Crown Court on Monday, 20 April 2026, following Turner’s guilty plea to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Police Crack Down with Op Kinetic Intervention Team

In February 2026, officers from Humberside Police’s Southbank Op Kinetic Intervention Team raided Turner’s address on Woodyard Court. Turner admitted to having drugs and cash in a rucksack, but a full search revealed a significant quantity of crack cocaine with a street value of around £12,880. Officers also seized several mobile phones and SIM cards to further their investigation. Turner was arrested on the spot and later charged, while a 51-year-old woman caught up in the raid was released without further action.

Detective Warns of Drug Supply Harm

“Drug supply continues to cause significant harm in our communities, often linked to exploitation and wider criminality,” said Detective Inspector Tom Kelly. “The sentence handed to Turner reflects the seriousness of these offences and the role he played in the supply of drugs in Grimsby. This result shows how our officers are working hard to disrupt drug crime.” “We urge the public to keep reporting suspicious behaviour. Every tip helps us build a clearer picture and step up action against organised crime.”
