A massive fire has ignited in a derelict warehouse close to Baker’s Quay in Gloucester. Though the building was empty, the blaze is alarmingly near the bustling Gloucester Quays Fanzone, where thousands of rugby fans are gathering for the England vs Australia match.

Emergency Services Rush to the Scene

At 18:47 this evening, Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service received 999 calls reporting the warehouse fire in the Quays area of Gloucester,” confirmed officials. “Fire crews arrived promptly by 18:51.”

Currently, seven fire engines are battling the blaze. Two more units, including an elevated platform and a high-velocity pump, are on their way to assist.
