Major Search Underway After Missing Chiswick Woman’s Car Found at Beachy Head
A huge search operation is in full swing tonight after the car belonging to missing 28-year-old Suzannah Brown from Chiswick was found at Beachy Head, the notorious suicide spot in East Sussex.
Massive Rescue Effort Launched
Police, the RNLI, and three coastguard rescue teams are combing the area in a desperate bid to find Suzannah. The search kicked off just before midnight on Wednesday after her vehicle was discovered perched near the cliffs.
Thick fog is seriously hampering rescue volunteers, making the operation even more challenging.
Coastguard and Police Join Forces
A UK Coastguard spokesman confirmed the ongoing search is being carried out at the request of Sussex Police. Two lifeboats — an all-weather and an inshore craft — from Eastbourne have been deployed alongside three rescue teams from Eastbourne, Birling Gap, and Newhaven.
