A dog was rescued after getting stuck in sinking mud at Eastney Lake, Langstone Harbour. The coastguard search and rescue team and Portsmouth RNLI Lifeboat rushed to the scene just after 5.20pm following urgent reports.

Heroic Rescue After Dog Trapped in Mud

A passerby spotted the dog struggling and immediately dialled 999. Working alongside the Portsmouth Inshore Lifeboat, rescuers pulled Minnie from her precarious muddy trap before she could sink further.

Minnie’s Muddy Escapade Ends Safely

The adventurous pooch had slipped out from her owner around 3pm on Sunday. After her dramatic rescue, Minnie was taken to the lifeboat station for a much-needed clean up. Thankfully, aside from being cold, wet, and muddy, she was uninjured.

Minnie has now been joyfully reunited with her owners, safe and sound following her muddy ordeal.
