Serious Crash on A37 Dorchester Bypass
Dorset Police are investigating a nasty collision between a silver Vauxhall Meriva and a red Land Rover near Monkeys Jump roundabout on the A37 Dorchester bypass. The crash was reported at 5:10pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022.
Multiple Injuries Reported
The Vauxhall driver, a man in his 60s from Portland, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers in his car were also taken to hospital for treatment.
The Land Rover carried a woman in her 40s and three children, all of whom were taken by ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.
Road Closed, Police Seek Witnesses
The A37 is shut between Weirs roundabout and Monkeys Jump roundabout while emergency crews deal with the scene.
Police Constable Mark Burton said: “We are continuing to make enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision. I urge anyone who witnessed the crash but hasn’t spoken to us yet to come forward.”
