Man Critically Injured in East Grinstead Mystery
Sussex Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a 66-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in Heathcote Drive, East Grinstead, in the early hours of Wednesday, January 25.
Early Morning Incident Sparks Investigation
Emergency services were called around 1.15am following reports that a man had been found injured near Heathcote Drive. Paramedics from SECAmb treated him on the scene before rushing him to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers believe the victim had travelled by train from the town of 1 to East Grinstead before being discovered by a passerby.
Police Seek Help From Local Community
Detective Inspector Dan McCarthy, CID, said: “At this time our detectives are working hard to establish how the man sustained these injuries. We are keeping an open mind as we pursue a number of lines of enquiry.”
“We are asking residents and businesses between the train station and Heathcote Drive to check CCTV, dashcams, or doorbell cameras for any footage around the time of the incident. We especially want to hear from drivers who were in the area around 1am.”
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we urge anyone with information to please get in touch.”
