A21 Shut Both Ways After Woman Falls From Bridge

The A21 in Kent is completely closed between the A25 (Riverhead/Chipstead) and the A225 (Sevenoaks Weald) following a serious police incident. Kent Police are leading the response after reports that a woman fell from a bridge. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.

Road Closures and Diversions in Place

Both directions of the A21 are shut. Southbound drivers are being diverted from the A21 onto the A25 eastbound at Riverhead junction, following the ‘hollow black circle’ symbol. From there, traffic follows the A224 southbound, which turns into the A225 through Sevenoaks, before rejoining the A21 at Morleys Farm Roundabout.

Northbound traffic must take the reverse route, following the ‘hollow black square’ symbol via the A225, A224, and A25 to get back onto the A21.

Expect Delays – Seek Alternative Routes

Authorities warn of heavy delays and advise drivers to consider alternative routes or delay journeys until the road reopens. Stay tuned for further updates as Kent Police manage the incident.
