Woman Seriously Injured in Tractor Crash in Hilsea
A woman has been rushed to hospital following a dramatic tractor crash in Hilsea this afternoon.
Emergency Crews Race to Scene
Just after 12:10pm today, fire crews from Cosham and Southsea were called to Northern Parade near Doyle Avenue. The woman was trapped after a collision involving a T6 New Holland tractor towing a trailer. Firefighters used hydraulic cutters to remove the vehicle’s roof and free her from the wreckage.
Serious Injuries and Road Closure
Paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service took over care of the injured woman, who is believed to be seriously hurt. Police have shut Northern Parade both ways as crash reconstruction officers investigate the cause.
Drivers Warned to Avoid Area
Local beat officers are managing traffic at the scene. Motorists are urged to find alternative routes as the road could remain closed for several hours while the investigation continues.
