Police Close off Road in Andover after man found in Gutter

Police have closed a road off after a man was found in the gutter in Andover this evening. Redon Way has been guarded by Two Police cars and traffic in the area diverted. The was closed for several hours as police carried out investigations close to Artisis Way on Thursday night. The man was found slumped in a the gutter by a local resident who raised the alarm. Mum of Two Shady Nazr has spoken of her shock of finding the man in the gutter she said ” I was the one who called the police, Many people drove past while the poor guy was laying on the side of the road! She went on to say one passing motorist stopped and helped but many people just drove past and carried on with their business” A 23 YEAR-old man has been taken to hospital with multiple injuries after being found injured on Redon Way last night. The incident took place shortly before 9pm on Thursday 8 October, with police closing off the road for around an hour. Initial reports on social media suggested that an injured man had been found laying beside the road with one witness claiming that “he did not look good”. Hampshire Constabulary have now confirmed that this was the case. A spokesperson said: “We were called to Redon Way, Andover, shortly before 9pm last night, after a man was found injured on the pavement. The man, 23, was taken to the North Hampshire Hospital with multiple injuries. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.” Andover Police reported the incident via their twitter account last night, announcing that the road had been closed in both directions. It has been reported via social media that there were a number of police cars at the scene, with two parked by the bridge which runs over the road.
