Two People Pulled from Mud in Langstone Harbour

Two people had been rescued by Emergency services after becoming entrapped in Langstone Harbour this evening. The pair had to be rescued by firefighter and two coastguard teams from Portsmouth and Selsey team after getting stuck in the mud Fire crews from Hampshire fire and rescue along with the water rescue unit, were called to Langstone Harbour after a member of the public spotted the pair in difficulty and raised the alarm, this evening, the rescue teams were also supported by the South Central Ambulance “HART” team. Costguard wearing dry suits and life jackets were sent out to Rescuers secured a line to the pair and then used a hose reel with a fog spike attachment to release the pressure of the mud around the legs of those trapped. They have now been left in the care of the ambulance service. More to Follow
