Person Critically Injured After Being Hit by Train at West Malling Station

A person was critically injured after being struck by a train that had just left West Malling Station this afternoon. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to save their life.

Air Ambulance Scrambles to Scene

Basic doctors and air ambulance crews performed urgent, life-saving treatment beside the tracks near the crossing at Macey’s Meadow on Norman Lane. The victim was then airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police and Paramedics Respond

British Transport Police were called at 12.45pm today (02/12) after reports of a casualty on the railway tracks at West Malling. Paramedics also attended promptly and confirmed the patient was taken to hospital for urgent care.

Not Being Treated as Suspicious

A British Transport Police spokesman confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious. Investigations into how the person ended up on the tracks are ongoing.
