Joshua’s family paid a heartfelt tribute, describing him as a “caring and kind soul” who “always had a smile for everyone.” They said, “The essence of Josh is impossible to capture because of how special he was. He helped people in their darkest hours and their lives are better because of his presence. He was cheeky and compassionate.”
Teenager Charged Over Stabbing
A 15-year-old boy from Dursley has been charged with Joshua’s murder and possession of an offensive weapon – a knife. For legal reasons, his identity cannot be revealed. He was excused from attending his initial hearing at Bristol Crown Court and has not entered a plea. Authorities have remanded him into secure local authority accommodation. He is set to stand trial at Gloucester Crown Court on 4 October.
Wider Investigation Underway
- A 29-year-old man from Dursley was arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying class B drugs, police confirmed.
- A 20-year-old man and another 15-year-old boy, arrested last week, remain released under investigation.
