Teen Stabbed in Brawl Outside Sunbury Cross M&S
Police are hunting attackers after a serious stabbing at Sunbury Cross Shopping Centre yesterday (May 19). A 19-year-old man was slashed in the leg during a chaotic fight outside the Marks and Spencer store at around 5pm.
Youth Gang on the Run
The group behind the attack is described as a gang of 14 to 20-year-old males, a mix of white and mixed ethnicity. They were mostly dressed in jogging bottoms and hoodies, all wearing face coverings. Witnesses say some gang members had bikes with them.
After the assault, the suspects fled towards the Spelthorne Estate. Police armed response units were called to the scene but no arrests have been made yet.
Police Urge Public to Help Crack Case
“Residents may notice a heightened police presence in the area today,” said Inspector Maxine Cilia, Spelthorne’s Borough Commander. “We thank those who have come forward and urge anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from 4:45 to 5:30pm to get in touch.”
Police are keen to hear from delivery drivers and anyone nearby who might have unwittingly caught the incident on camera. They’re also asking people to report any found clothing or weapons, but to leave items untouched.
